The 22nd International Bodrum Ballet Festival continued with the ballet "Don Quixote"

The 22nd International Bodrum Ballet Festival, organized this year in the Bodrum district of Muğla by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's State Opera and Ballet General Directorate (DOB), continued with the ballet "Don Quixote."
The festival, which has become one of the well-established cultural and artistic events organized in the Northern Moat of Bodrum Castle with the contributions of Türkiye İş Bankası, featured a two-act ballet staged by the Antalya State Opera and Ballet, inspired by the colorful world of Miguel de Cervantes' immortal hero Don Quixote.
The work, brought to life by composer Ludwig Minkus's enthusiastic music, was performed with the lively rhythm of Spanish folk dances, eye-catching costumes and cheerful narrative.
Standing out with its energy and being one of the most powerful representatives of not only dance but also joy, love and dream on stage, the ballet "Don Quixote" received full marks from the audience.
Ayşe Fidanlık and G. Armağan Davran staged the work by renowned choreographer Marius Petipa . The set design is by Özgür Usta , the costume design is by Serdar Başbuğ , and the lighting design is by Mustafa Eski .
On the first night, the main roles were played by Rina Murata as "Kıtri", Kanat Nadyrbek Uulu as "Basilio", Cenk T. Şahinalp as "Don Quixote", İ. Boğaç Özbakır as "Sancho Panza", Evren İskender as "Gamache", Umut Çaltekin as "Lorenzo", Milina Fidan as "Mercedes" and Yağızhan Danış as "Espada" .
